Freedom College Foundation
Welcome to the homepage of Freedom College Foundation!
Since its establishment as a free democratic republic in 1948, the Republic of Korea has grown from one of the most impoverished countries to an exemplar of economic and democratic success unparalleled in modern history, despite all the odds including the Korean War. However, this proud nation has gone through a political and ideological turmoil in recent years. Disguised under the cause of democracy and progressivism, distortions of historical truth and unconstitutional activism by the leftists have encroached on our education and culture over several decades.
In 2017, after the impeachment of the then incumbent President, our nation faced a rapid radical change with a new administration supporting the ideas of the leftist populism. Many Koreans came to realize the seriousness of the abruptly surfacing challenge of socialism and communism in our society. Answering an urgent call for overcoming the ideological crisis, some proactive willing citizens from all walks of life gathered and started the Freedom College Foundation (FCF) in June 2017, a nongovernmental organization to cause changes in education and culture, and influence the government, the legislature, the judiciary and the media with conservative ideas.
FCF is committed to spreading among the public the historical truth about our confrontation with the communist regimes, and making conservative ideals the pivotal values that Koreans should embrace in order to keep our national identity as a free democracy. FCF is also determined to serve as a guide for defending our constitutional principles, the rule of law and market economy by monitoring, criticizing, suggesting alternatives and forming a social consensus from the conservative viewpoint. To achieve these objectives, what FCF has to offer includes quality educational and cultural programs as well as various patriotic activities, in particular, to raise young citizens who will support the cause of freedom, democracy, market economy and national security.
FCF is eager to reach more young Koreans with conservative ideas, and contribute to building a free and righteous unified country by fulfilling the founding spirit of the Republic of Korea. To that end, FCF will be at the forefront of the Korean conservative movement. We hope that the conservative culture we produce will deeply resonate with Koreans, creating the environment where conservative values will be the mainstay of our society once again. We look forward to your unwavering support and encouragement.
